My Favorite Korean Dramas on Netflix

Good Afternoon everyone!

So I love Korean dramas. They are quite creative with great narratives and they are quite heartwarming. Netflix is abundant with choices so I thought in this post I could recall some of my favourites so that you have some recommendations for entertainment if you are feeling down or just taking a break.

Fight for My Way
It has great inspiring characters who are living very relatable lives to a lot of us. In short, it's four friends navigating through their adulthood and trying to get out of unemployment and trying to keep themselves afloat and happy. They deal with unfairness but they overcome the unfairness in their own ways and they persevere through their problems. I really recommend this drama if you are watching Korean drama for the first time as it's a very relatable drama.

Strong Girl Bong Soon
It follows a girl who is superhumanly powerful and how she solves a kidnap with a game developer. There are serious aspects to it but it's balanced with the cuteness of all the characters. Despite her abilities, she also has ambitions and goals to create a game. The entire drama is very lighthearted and the storyline doesn't stray too far into the drama or heavier subjects.

She Was Pretty
This drama follows a girl who is not conventionally attracted working for a fashion magazine under her friend from High School who doesn't know her identity. Another funny and light-hearted drama with loads of great happy moments that take you away from reality. If you like Romcoms, you will love this drama.

Coffee Prince
This drama follows a girl who looks like a boy and acts like a boy. She ends up working for in a coffee shop where she pretends to be a boy. It follows when romance becomes involved in the mix. Again another drama that's pretty light-hearted and fun.

Healer
If you are looking for a mystery drama, this drama is the one. It follows a hitman and a reporter through their journey of trying to piece together what happened to them in the past. It's a gripping drama and I finished it within two days.

Kill me Heal me
This drama cover psychological trauma. It follows a system with dissociative identity disorder and the integration of all their alters becoming one person. The drama is quite accurate in terms of the disorder. It's not highly unrealistic either. The entire drama follows the healing of this person and also finding out what happened in the past that caused them to have this disorder.

Itaewon Class
I am still watching this drama but I am already hooked to it. It follows a young man going through unfairness in his life and losing relationship and family as a result of financial inequality. The characters in this drama show perseverance in the face of hardship and they all go through very heavy problems in their life.

I hope you find some entertainment out of these dramas. I hope you are doing well and staying at home and staying hydrated. I will see you in my next post!

Sincerely Sinthu

How I Reflect

Afternoon, everyone! So in today's post, I will be discussing my favourite way of reflecting. It goes without saying that there are so many different ways of reflecting and none of them is good or bad. Everyone has their own way of reflecting. This is the way that works well for me. It's always worth giving new techniques a go to better yourself and your lifestyle. In order to do this method, you need a plain paper and a pen. That's it. 1) You have to draw a grid. Now, this grid can be however big or small you'd like it to be. It can include whatever categories you feel is relevant for your life. My categories are usually health and fitness, career, relationships and myself. You can have as many or as little categories but 4 is a good number. By separating your life into compartments in this way, it will help you really analyse the different areas of life. 2) Once you have the basic structure, you can add two different subheadings under each section. Under you...

Optimism During These Pessimistic Times

Good Afternoon, Everyone! This post is going to be a heavy one because it's all about mental health during this period where everything is actually falling apart. That's a lie: not everything is falling apart but it really feels that way. While the reminder that we are in a first-world country where we are in a far more privileged position than others is sobering, it doesn't negate the fact that a lot of us are probably struggling. Watching the news or speaking to people is just a constant reminder of what is happening in the world. Some of us have decided to panic and buy all the toilet paper and hand sanitiser. Yet again, we will not do well in a zombie apocalypse. But we have to stop and take a step back before we fall back into old habits. These are hard times for all of us and we have got to recognise that. We cannot ignore the fact that there are people dying all the time and the numbers are only growing every day. However, we have to also realise that there is no...

Benefits of Social Media Detox

Good Afternoon, Everyone! The sun is shining so much and it's an absolutely gorgeous day. I hope you are all doing wonderfully. During December 2019 and January 2020, I went off Instagram. I deleted the app and posted occasionally using the website. In today's post, I will be discussing the observations I made during the detox. 1) Vanity is not everything. Vanity is only surface level. It's not tangible or consistent. It's fleeting. Vanity comes in many forms on social media: clothes, body, hair, house, car and so on. Looks are not everything. What's far more important is who you are. Are you kind or courageous? Are you brave? These are far more important than what you look like. 2) Likes and followers have no value. Likes and follower count has absolutely no significance to my life and my ambitions. Sure, for an Instagram influencer that will be a different story but my ambitions do not have the term 'be popular on Instagram'. I think it's unfair ...
