Revision Tips

Afternoon everyone! How's your day going? Is it well? Guess what, your exams are probably sooner than you think they are. I am sorry to be the bringer of the bad news. Let's go over some revision tips and tricks to help you conquer through all your exams. I want to preface this by saying that I am not an expert at taking exams. The following tips are simple methods you could try out. Some might work for you and some might not. Not everything will work for everyone. I have broken it down into different learning styles but don't let that stop you from using whatever methods takes your interest. Visual 1) Create mindmaps or brainstorms. Mindmaps are basically a tree that breaks off into branches with information about the central topic (bark of the tree). Each branch then breaks off further for more detail or explanation. This video  explains concisely how to mindmap. This method can be useful in so many different subjects. If there is a subject that requires you t

My Favourite Female Centered Movies

Afternoon everyone! With Valentine's day, it can all feel a bit overwhelmingly cliched and cynical. Valentine's day is simply another day for companies to sell their thematic products convincing the general public that you need to gift your significant other this bouquet of flowers or piece of overpriced garment. It's absolutely bizarre. Here is a list of films I've compiled to uplift your mood if you are feeling a bit down to inspire you to pick yourself back up and treat yourself to dinner for a change. Girl's Trip I love this film. It celebrates female friendship and comradery. The film follows four women on different paths in their lives coming together for a weekend of fun. It portrays the struggles of adulthood while holding a level of childish humour. There is also a close commentary on gossip tabloids and the harm it can cause. Legally Blonde This film continuously inspires me to do law. Sure, that's perhaps short-sighted and illogical. The sen

Sexual Abuse and Violence Awareness Week, Sending Applications and Seeing Friends [Weekly Catchup 4]

Afternoon everyone, This week has gone incredibly fast. I think February is whizzing past at a much more faster pace than January did. The weather in London is stunning at the moment. The sun occasionally peeks through the clouds in the morning. The somewhat chill is also quite enjoyable. The transition phase between winter and spring is my favourite thing. With climate change, it's almost obvious that the 'transition' isn't so stark as winter is becoming shorter and summer is getting longer and hotter. The longer summer is enjoyable but it is so alarming. Towards the end of the week, however, we had a loud storm that lasted through the weekend. It's lovely to just watch the rain from the comfort of my home but I cannot imagine how inconvenient it probably is.  On Monday, I worked on my story and did some location maps. I drew on some rough paper what I wanted my fictional town to look like and what kind of facilities I wanted the town to have. I already had

5 Myths About Law School

Afternoon everyone! Hope you are all doing wonderful this afternoon. So I've completed my LPC and I thought this will be the perfect time to look back on my journey and bust some myths that I believed before starting my journey. 1) Law school will be stylish. So who has seen Suits or How To Get Away With Murder? Both shows feature people in the legal sector and they are all dressed impeccably. Most of the characters in the shows lead very beautifully gorgeous lives with the perfect house and the perfect car. In reality, law school is not stylish. Most law students wear whatever they want to. They all come from varied economic backgrounds. Some days you'll see the odd few people wearing business casual outfits but really it depends on the weather and if there are any events going on. 2) Law is all about reading large textbooks and journals. For the large part, textbooks provide further guidance and knowledge on legal topics. It is pretty useful for essays and coursework. T
